Why These Names Appear Here

They appear for identification only, which is the sole accurate way to describe a used instrument or a replacement part. Naming the maker and model of a guitar offered for sale, or of the instrument a part fits, tells a buyer what they are looking at. It does not imply any relationship with the manufacturer, and none is claimed.

Parts and Modifications

Parts sold here may be original manufacturer items, period correct replacements or aftermarket components, and each listing states which. Aftermarket and independently developed items, including the Rick filter bypass mod, are not manufacturer products and carry no manufacturer approval.

Fitting any replacement part or modification to an instrument may affect its value, its originality and any warranty still attached to it. That decision rests with the owner of the instrument.

Descriptions, Dating and Valuation

Instruments are described from direct inspection, and dating is based on serial numbers, hardware and construction details. Reference material for older instruments is incomplete and factory records are not always reliable, so descriptions and dates are given in good faith rather than as a guarantee.
