The Person Behind the Shop
Stevie's Guitars is a one person business run by Steve De Franco, dealing in vintage and collectible guitars and the hard to find parts that keep them playable. It has operated online since the early years of the web and is registered in Johnston County, North Carolina. Every enquiry, sale and part search is handled by Steve himself.
One Person, Which Is the Point
There is no sales team here and no warehouse. When you send a message you reach Steve, and when you buy something Steve is the person who packs it. That limits how much this shop can carry at once, and it is also the reason people come back.
The trade off is worth understanding before you buy. You will not get same day dispatch or a chat window staffed around the clock. You will get somebody who has handled thousands of these instruments telling you honestly whether the one you are looking at is any good.
How the Parts Side Happened
It started with customers asking. Somebody would buy a guitar, then write back months later because a bridge had worn out or a pickguard had cracked, and the factory no longer made the piece. Steve knew who might have one.
Do that enough times and you end up with a network: collectors, repair shops, other dealers, people who bought out old stock decades ago and still have it in a drawer. That network is the actual asset of this business, and it is why the part finder works when a web search does not.
What Has Changed and What Has Not
The old site went up a long time ago and looked it. Small photographs, descriptions split across separate pages, shipping figures that stopped being accurate years back. This one fixes all of that.
What does not change is how the business runs. No shopping cart. No pressure. An honest description, an honest price, and an honest answer when something is not right for you.
