Policies
Returns and Satisfaction
Stevie's Guitars aims to describe every instrument accurately enough that a return is never needed. Where something arrives damaged in transit or materially different from how it was described, contact the owner immediately and it will be put right. Timescales and conditions are set out below.
The Principle
The best return policy is a description honest enough that nobody wants to use it. Every instrument sold here is described as Steve found it, including the flaws, and you are encouraged to ask for as many photographs as you need before you buy.
If It Arrives Damaged
- Stop unpacking and photograph the outer carton, the case and the instrument as they are.
- Message Steve the same day.
- Keep all the packaging until the claim is settled, because the carrier will ask to see it.
Transit damage is a carrier matter, and the claim depends almost entirely on those first photographs. Take them before you do anything else.
If It Is Not as Described
Message Steve with photographs of the difference. Something material that was missed in the description will be resolved. Wear that was disclosed, or the ordinary character of an instrument of that age, is a different situation, and this is why asking questions before buying matters so much.
Condition on Return
An instrument coming back needs to be in the same condition it left in, with any case and accessories it arrived with, packed the way it was packed originally.
Raising It
Everything starts with a message through the contact form. Get in touch early. Problems raised in the first few days get solved. Problems raised months later rarely do.
